Things You'll Need
- 3- by 2-inch pumice stone
- Flat-head screwdriver
- Air pump
- 2 feet plastic air tubing
- Fish-safe silicone
Instructions
Use a flat-head screwdriver to grind a hole into the pumice stone. Place the pumice on a table and turn the screwdriver head against the center of the rock. Make a hole that is approximately the same width as the diameter of the air tubing. Stop when the hole is approximately 1/2 inch deep.
Place an end of the plastic air tubing in the hole. Use your finger to spread an aquarium-safe silicone around the perimeter of the tubing to create an airtight seal.
Place the opposite end of the tubing on the outlet valve of the air pump.
Place the airstone in the corner of the aquarium. Run the tubing under the aquarium rocks and up the corner of the tank.
Plug in the air pump to create airflow to the stone. The air will then bubble through the small holes of the pumice.
