    • 2

Purchase saltwater or freshwater dip and apply it to any infected fish to remove the parasites from the fish. Follow the instructions or veterinarian instructions applying dip or other medication to your fish.

    • 3

Drain all water from your fish tank by either using cups or buckets to remove the water, or by siphoning the water into a separate tub.

    • 4

Remove all items from the tank including sand or gravel and put into a separate bucket. Rinse all removed items thoroughly using fresh water before leaving them out to dry in the sun.

    • 5

Create a solution using a cup of vinegar and a cup of warm water. Submerge the scrubber into the solution and thoroughly scrub the inside of the tank. Rinse the tank well with clean water when complete.
