Things You'll Need
- 1 biOrb service kit
- 3 gallons of water
Instructions
Wipe the inside of the biOrb to remove any algae growth. Use the cloth from the service kit and apply the rough side only to stubborn marks. Do not remove the fish or the water.
Prepare clean water to add to the tank. Mix the water treatment chemicals from the service kit into 3 gallons of tap water. Allow the water to sit for at least one hour before using.
Remove the biOrb filter. Turn the air pump off and twist the filter in the direction of the arrow. Lift the filter from the tank.
Remove one-third of the water from the biOrb tank using the siphon tube from the service kit. Agitate the aquarium rocks to help loosen any dirt. Place the siphon tube into the empty filter slot and suck through the holes to remove any solid waste.
Separate the bubble tube from the old filter cartridge. Gently twist in the direction of the arrow and lift bubble tube away.
Attach the new biOrb filter cartridge from the service kit to the bubble tube. Twist in the direction of the arrow until the cartridge tabs are locked and secure the filter cartridge back into the base unit.
Refill the biOrb tank using a portion of the previously prepared water. Turn on the air pump and allow the water to sit for one hour, then add the chemicals from the stress zyme packet found in the service kit.
