How to Use Algae Remover With a Pleco in the Tank

A little bit of algae grown in your aquarium is good for your fish. However, too much algae can rob your fish of oxygen and make them sick. Plecostumus, or sucker fish, are bottom feeders that sometimes feed on algae in your tank. There are natural ways to control algae growth in your tank including regular tank changes and moving your aquarium away from direct sunlight. If your tank ever becomes overgrown with algae, though, you may have to use an algae remover. You can use algae removers safely without harming your plecostomus or other fish.
