Things You'll Need
- 2 1-by-36-by-15-inch plywood
- 4 2-by 2-by-18-inches long wooden beams
- Small tin carpenters glue
- Small tin wood stain
- 2 paint brushes
- Small box of 4-inch wood screws
- Screwdriver
- Word surface
Instructions
Place one of the 1-by-36-by-15-inch plywood, wooden boards on the work surface.
Paint a thin layer of carpenter's glue onto one end of the first, 2-by 2-by-18-inches long wooden beam and place it vertically on the left hand rear corner of the 1-inch thick plywood board. Hold the beam in position for a few minutes.
Paint a thin layer of carpenter's glue onto one end of the second, 2-by 2-inch-by-18-inches long wooden beam and place it vertically on the right hand rear corner of the 1-inch thick plywood board. Hold the beam in position for a few minutes.
Paint a thin layer of carpenter's glue onto one end of the third, 2-by-2-by-18 inch long wooden beam and position it vertically on the left hand front corner of the 1-inch thick plywood board. Hold the beam in position for a few minutes.
Paint a thin layer of carpenter's glue onto one end of the last 2-by-2-by-18 inch long wooden beam and position it vertically on the right hand corner of the 1-inch thick plywood board. Hold the beam in position for a few minutes.
Allow the glue to cure for six hours.
Up turn the structure, so that it is resting on its four legs.
Lay the second piece of 1-inch thick plywood board, 36-by-15-inch, horizontally onto the ends of the four legs.
Screw this board onto each of the four legs that have already been glued in place.
Stain the stand to compliment the aquarium rim and furniture in the room in which the tank will stand.
