How to Set the Timer on a Red Sea Max Aquarium

The Red Sea Max Aquarium is an all-inclusive aquarium system that can be taken home, filled with water and used immediately. There is no additional equipment needed because the aquarium contains a filter, substrate, light, pump, heater and waterproof power supply. The system's programmable timer is on top of the device and controls the amount of time that the aquarium light is turned on during the day. The system also has low-level LED moonlights that come on at night.

Instructions

    • 1

Look at the top of the aquarium and locate the small door on the back right side of the lid. Lift the door up to access the light timer control knob.

    • 2

Locate the switch on top of the white dial and move it to the "On" position. The on position is indicated by the symbol "I".

    • 3

Turn the main white knob on the timer until the arrow printed on top of it lines up with the current time of day.

    • 4

Locate the small black tabs along the outer edge of the timer dial. There is one tab for each 1/4 hour of the day. Push the tabs outward toward the sides of tank to indicate the hours that the light should be on.

    • 5

Close the lid on the timer control panel.
