How to Clean with Seaclone Protein Skimmer

The SeaClone Protein Skimmer is a type of aquarium filter that is used to clean toxic and waste material from your fish tank. It acts as a filter, creating bubbles that remove debris. It is used for tanks as large as 150 gallons and can be purchased online. Having a protein skimmer in your aquarium is necessary to get rid of the waste that fish produce. Without some kind of filter, the fish will die.

Instructions

    • 1

Wash all parts of the Protein Skimmer in water and scrub the pieces very well to remove any factory chemical residues. Do not use soap to clean the parts.

    • 2

Pull out your aquarium so that there is at least four inches of space between the tank and the wall. The pump will take up some of this room.

    • 3

Place the elbow piece of the Skimmer into the Intake Port base and lock it into place by twisting it.

    • 4

Place the overhang piece over the Pump Outlet and lock it into place by twisting it.

    • 5

Clip the Secure Air Line to the unit.

    • 6

Hang your SeaClone Protein Skimmer on your aquarium.

    • 7

Allow the Skimmer to run constantly in your aquarium. You should see a cleaner tank within three days. It cleans by trapping the tank's waste debris in the filter and preventing it from recirculating into the aquarium.

    • 8

Clean the filter every week. Empty it out and wash it thoroughly. Also wash the Riser Tube piece.
