Instructions
Check the pH level of your fish tank or aquarium to make sure it is an ideal environment for your fish. Although levels vary, a good range is 6.8-7.2.If you have green water in your aquarium and your pH levels are off, it is likely you have an algae control problem.
Turn the lights off in the tank or aquarium and leave them off. This is important to remove green water from your aquarium or fish tank and is a form of algae treatment.
Wrap towels around the outside of your fish tank or aquarium but do not cover the top so that very little light can penetrate the green water in the aquarium. Keep the towels on and the aquarium lights off for 3 weeks for effective algae treatment and algae control. Don't worry, your fish will be fine and at the end of the 3 weeks you will no longer have green water in your aquarium. In fact, you won't be able to tell you ever had an algae control problem!
