How do the manatees go to bathroom?

Manatees urinate and defecate underwater. Their urine is released from a urogenital opening, while their feces are expelled from an anal opening. Manatees do not have a bladder, so they must constantly produce urine to avoid becoming dehydrated. Their feces are made up of plant material, algae, and invertebrates. Manatees usually defecate once a day, but they may defecate more frequently if they eat a lot of food.
