What do you have to be a zoooligist?

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field.

• Master's degree in zoology or a specific area of zoology, such as mammalogy, ornithology, or herpetology.

• Doctorate (Ph.D.) for advanced research positions or teaching at the university level.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong research and analytical skills,

• Knowledge of animal taxonomy and classification.

• Fieldwork and observation skills,

• Experience in animal handling.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal,

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team,

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills,

• Knowledge of computer applications and statistical software,

• Ability to work with microscopes and other lab equipment.

Other requirements:

• Physical stamina for field work, hiking, and carrying equipment,

• Ability to work in diverse and often remote environments,

• willingness to travel, sometimes for extended periods,

• Good physical health,

• strong organizational skills,

• Time management and prioritization skills,

• Initiative, drive and passion for zoology.
