Where do bettongs live?
Bettongs are small, rat-like marsupials found in Australia. They inhabit a variety of habitats, including open forests, woodlands, grasslands, and deserts. Some species are arboreal, living in trees, while others are terrestrial, living on the ground. Bettongs are nocturnal, coming out at night to feed on a variety of plants, including leaves, stems, roots, fruits, and seeds. They also eat insects and small invertebrates. Bettongs are important members of the Australian ecosystem, playing a role in seed dispersal and soil aeration.
