What do baby bottle nose dolphins eat?

Baby bottle nose dolphins, like all baby dolphins, drink their mother's milk. They are born with a natural instinct to suckle, and their mothers produce milk that is high in fat and protein to help them grow and develop.

They don't start eating solid food until they are weaned, which typically occurs around 18 months of age.

Once they are weaned, they start eating a diet of fish, squid, and other marine life, just like adult dolphins.
