What eats a white shark?

White sharks are apex predators, meaning they are at the top of the food chain and have no natural predators in their habitat. They are the largest predatory fish in the world and can reach lengths of over 20 feet and weights of over 5,000 pounds.

While there are no animals that actively prey on adult white sharks, very young white sharks (pups) can be vulnerable to predators such as:

* Larger sharks: Larger sharks, including other white sharks, can sometimes prey on young white sharks.

* Orcas (killer whales): Orcas are known to hunt and eat white sharks, particularly in areas where white shark populations are high.

* Other marine mammals: Large seals and sea lions can pose a threat to young white sharks.

It's important to remember that adult white sharks are at the top of the food chain and have very few natural enemies.
