Here's why:
* Size: Baleen whales are significantly larger than great white sharks. Even the smallest baleen whales are too large for a great white to take down.
* Diet: Great white sharks primarily feed on seals, sea lions, fish, and other marine mammals of a smaller size. They are not equipped to hunt prey as large as baleen whales.
* Hunting Style: Great white sharks are ambush predators and rely on speed and agility to attack their prey. Baleen whales are much larger and more powerful, making them unlikely targets for a great white shark.
While there have been rare instances of sharks taking bites out of whale carcasses, there's no evidence to suggest great whites actively hunt or prey on living baleen whales.
