How the fish get pregnant?

Fish don't get pregnant in the same way mammals do. Here's why:

* They lay eggs: Most fish reproduce by laying eggs, a process called spawning.

* External fertilization: The male fish releases sperm into the water, which fertilizes the eggs laid by the female.

* No gestation: Unlike mammals, fish don't have a gestation period where the eggs develop inside the mother's body.

* Variations: Some fish species do exhibit different methods of reproduction, such as:

* Oviparous: Laying eggs that develop outside the body.

* Viviparous: Giving birth to live young (like guppies and some sharks).

* Ovoviviparous: Retaining eggs inside the body until they hatch, then giving birth to live young (like some sharks).

So, instead of getting pregnant, fish spawn!
