Who eats sharks?

Sharks are apex predators, meaning they are at the top of the food chain. However, they do have predators:

Larger Sharks:

* Great White Sharks are known to prey on other shark species, including mako, tiger, and blue sharks.

* Tiger Sharks are opportunistic feeders and have been known to eat other shark species, as well as other large marine animals.

* Bull Sharks are aggressive and will eat other sharks, especially in areas where they are abundant.

Other Predators:

* Orcas (Killer Whales) are known to hunt and kill sharks, including great whites.

* Large Fish: Some large fish like tuna and swordfish can prey on smaller shark species.

* Marine Mammals: Other marine mammals like dolphins and seals can also prey on smaller sharks.

Human Impacts:

* Humans are a significant threat to shark populations through overfishing, bycatch (accidental catch), and habitat destruction.

It's important to remember that sharks are crucial to maintaining healthy ocean ecosystems. We need to protect them to ensure the health and diversity of our oceans.
