What fish do walrus eat?

Walruses are not fish eaters! They are carnivores that primarily feed on molluscs, especially clams, mussels, and snails.

Here's how they do it:

* Using their powerful tusks, they dig into the seabed to unearth their prey.

* They then suck the molluscs out of their shells with their powerful lips.

* Sometimes they also eat crabs, sea urchins, and small fish that they find while digging.

While they may occasionally eat fish, it's not a significant part of their diet.
