How to Cut Up Cucumbers for a Pleco to Eat

The plecostomus, known popularly as a pleco, is a member of the catfish family. It originates from the Amazon, and aquarium enthusiasts introduce the pleco to their tanks because it uses its large, sucker-like mouth to eat algae, which helps keep the tank clean. The pleco is an omnivore that not only eats algae and smaller organisms, it also likes small bites of vegetables including zucchini, lettuce and cucumber.
