What eats dolphins that live in the ocean?

Dolphins are apex predators in the ocean, meaning they are at the top of the food chain. This means they have very few natural predators. However, there are a few animals that can prey on dolphins, especially young or injured ones:

* Larger Sharks: Great white sharks, tiger sharks, and bull sharks are known to occasionally prey on dolphins.

* Orcas (Killer Whales): Orcas are the most common predators of dolphins. They are highly intelligent and skilled hunters, and can often outmaneuver dolphins.

* Other Large Marine Mammals: Occasionally, a very large seal or polar bear might take a young dolphin, especially if the dolphin is already injured or sick.

It's important to note that most dolphin deaths are not due to predation. Dolphins are often killed by human activities like fishing nets, pollution, and habitat destruction.
