How to Feed Orange Slices to Fish

While you should feed your fish a regular diet of fish food, sometimes you may want to offer a small treat. Many fish, such as goldfish, koi and plecos will go nuts for an orange slice and the vitamin C is good for them. Treats, such as an orange, may help your fish fight off boredom and depression, says GoldfishDiseases.org. It is important to remember that this fruit cannot be your fish's primary diet and should only be used as an occasional supplement; once a week is sufficient.
