Providing your marine fish with nutritious food not only helps them lead healthier lives, but it can also enhance their liveliness and color. Instructions

    • 1

Thaw the shrimp, green peas and broccoli until they're only slightly frozen in the center.

    • 2

Mix the shrimp, peas and broccoli in a blender or food processor. Keep mixing the ingredients until they create a fine paste, although a few little clumps are fine. Do not liquify the mixture. Pour the paste in a large mixing bowl.

    • 3

Add the spirulina powder and 5 ml. of liquid vitamins into the paste and stir with a spoon. The spirulina powder should turn the paste to a dark green color.

    • 4

Heat the unflavored gelatin with hot water according to the manufacturer's guidelines in a separate mixing bowl. This is typically done by stirring the gelatin mix with boiling water. However, instead of cooling the gelatin with cold water, as is usually recommended, mix in the liquid paste you created in the blender. Stir the mixture until the gelatin is evenly distributed throughout the paste.

    • 5

Pour the mixed concoction into a flat container such as a baking pan. The paste should be spread out to about 3/4-of-an-inch thick.

    • 6

Place the mixture in the refrigerator for several hours until the gelatin sets.

    • 7

Take the mixture out of the refrigerator and cut it into 1/2-inch cubes. Store these cubes in the freezer until it's time to feed your fish. During feeding time, simply place the cubes in the fish aquarium, where they will thaw and release the food for the animals to eat.
