What do freashwater blue claws eat?
Crayfish are omnivorous and will eat a variety of plant matter, invertebrates and small fish. In the wild they will eat algae, insects, worms, molluscs, and smaller crustaceans. They are also known to scavenge on dead fish and other animals. As pets they will eat commercial crayfish pellets, fish flakes, and brine shrimp. They will also eat vegetables and fruits such as lettuce, cucumber and zucchini.
