How long does it take for a crayfish to lay Its eggs?

Crayfishes have a molt lifecycle; when a female is about to give birth, she molts and emerges with a softer cuticle. It will also be carrying the spermatophore on her venter at this time. To get the spermatophore to the eggs after they have been laid, she will extend her pleopod and pull it to the underside of her abdomen. As she goes through the molting process, the new harder exoskeleton leaves a gap which creates an incubator area for her eggs.
