What do ribbonfish eat?
Ribbonfish have long, eel-like bodies and are typically found in tropical and subtropical oceans. They are voracious predators and primarily feed on small fish and invertebrates. Some species of ribbonfish have been known to eat larger prey such as squid, cuttlefish, and even small sharks. They are also known to feed on planktonic organisms such as krill, shrimp, and other small crustaceans. Ribbonfish are opportunistic predators and will often hunt in large schools, chasing and capturing prey with their sharp teeth.
