Plant matter: Woylies mainly feed on plant material, including leaves, stems, flowers, fruits, and seeds. Some of the plants they eat include acacias, eucalypts, wattles, and banksias.
Animal matter: Woylies also eat animal matter, including insects, spiders, snails, and small vertebrates. They may occasionally feed on carrion (dead animals) as well.
Woylies are known for their ability to climb trees and forage for food in the treetops. They use their long, bushy tails for balance and to help them grip branches. Woylies are also very adaptable and can survive in a variety of habitats, including forests, woodlands, and shrublands.
