What does a sea bat eat?
Seabats are not actual bats, but rather a type of fish also sometimes known as flying gurnard. They belong to the family Dactylopteridae and are native to the waters around the Galapagos Islands. As fish, seabats have a different diet from bats, which are mammals. Seabats are carnivores and feed primarily on small fish, crustaceans, and other aquatic invertebrates. They use their large, wing-like pectoral fins to "fly" through the water and capture prey, which they then eat whole.
