Do you defrost fish food before feeding?

Frozen fish food should not be defrosted before feeding. Thawing and re-freezing frozen food can cause it to lose its nutritional value, resulting in your fish missing out on essential nutrients and potentially leading to health problems.

Instead of defrosting frozen food, it is recommended to feed your fish small portions directly from the freezer. You can break off a small cube of frozen food, rinse it under cold water to remove any excess ice, and immediately serve it to your fish. This way, the food will quickly reach a suitable temperature for your fish to consume without compromising its nutritional integrity.
