How long are dolphins noses?

Dolphins don't have noses in the same way that humans do. They have a beak, which is the most prominent feature of their head.

The length of a dolphin's beak varies depending on the species. For example:

* Bottlenose dolphins have beaks that are about 10-12 inches long.

* Common dolphins have beaks that are about 6-8 inches long.

The beak houses the dolphin's nostrils, which are located on top of the head. These nostrils are called blowholes and are used for breathing.
