What animals have swim bladders?

Swim bladders are found in bony fish (Osteichthyes).

Here's why:

* Cartilaginous fish (like sharks and rays) lack swim bladders. They use their large livers filled with oil to maintain buoyancy.

* Lungfish are an exception! They use their primitive lungs for breathing air and buoyancy.

So, in short, nearly all bony fish have swim bladders, but cartilaginous fish do not.
