Is a dolphin predator or scavenger?

Dolphins are predators.

Here's why:

* They actively hunt: Dolphins use their echolocation and sharp teeth to catch and kill their prey.

* They have a specialized diet: Dolphins feed primarily on fish, squid, and crustaceans, which they actively pursue and capture.

* They have adaptations for hunting: Their streamlined bodies, powerful tails, and specialized teeth are all adaptations for hunting.

While they might scavenge on occasion, they are not primarily scavengers.
