Do baby sharks swim next to mothers at night?
Baby sharks do not typically swim next to their mothers at night. Most shark species are ovoviviparous, meaning they hatch from eggs that are develop and hatch inside the mother's body. After hatching, the young sharks are usually left to fend for themselves and do not receive any further parental care. Some shark species, such as the nurse shark, may form loose aggregations of females and their young, but this behavior is not common to all shark species.
