Do Great White Sharks eat Sand Tiger Sharks?

Great white sharks (Carcharodon carcharias) are known to prey on a variety of marine animals, including fish, seals, sea lions, and other sharks. While great white sharks have been observed attacking and consuming sand tiger sharks (Carcharias taurus), they are not considered to be a primary food source for great white sharks.

Sand tiger sharks are relatively large sharks, with some individuals reaching lengths of over 10 feet (3 meters). They are also known to be quite aggressive and territorial, and are capable of defending themselves against predators. While great white sharks are larger and more powerful than sand tiger sharks, they typically target weaker or smaller prey.

In some cases, great white sharks may attack sand tiger sharks as a form of competition for food or territory. However, these interactions are relatively rare, and sand tiger sharks are not considered to be a significant part of the great white shark's diet.
