What are the cheetahs habits?
Cheetahs are solitary animals, except for females with cubs. They are diurnal, meaning they are active during the day. Cheetahs are sprinters, not distance runners. They can reach speeds of up to 75 miles per hour (120 kilometers per hour) in just three seconds. Cheetahs hunt by stealth, stalking their prey and then making a sudden burst of speed to chase it down. They typically eat small to medium-sized mammals, such as gazelle, impala, and wildebeest. Cheetahs are territorial animals and will defend their territory from other cheetahs and predators. They mark their territory with urine and claw marks. Cheetahs are also very vocal animals and will use a variety of calls to communicate with each other.
