How many Species of salmon at north cascades national park?

There are no native salmon species in North Cascades National Park. While the park has numerous rivers and streams, the environment isn't suitable for salmon to spawn.

Here's why:

* Water Temperature: Salmon need cool, clear water to thrive, especially during spawning. The North Cascades, while beautiful, have relatively warm waters, particularly in the lower elevations.

* Elevation: The park's high elevation and steep terrain create rapid water flows that are often too turbulent for salmon to navigate.

* Lack of Access to the Ocean: Salmon need access to the ocean to complete their life cycle. The North Cascades are landlocked and don't provide this access.

While there are no native salmon in the park, you might encounter introduced trout species like rainbow trout and cutthroat trout. These were stocked for recreational fishing purposes.
