How to Make Rocks to Stick on Your Tank Walls

With the proper arrangement, rocks can play an enormous role in the way that your tank appears. Aquascaping refers to the process of creating a vibrant and engaging environment for your tank, and though plants and sand do play a part, you can easily create a very striking look using rocks. When you look through a tank, seeing the wall behind the tank is dull, so glue rocks to the tank glass to create a dramatic backdrop.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn the tank on its side so that the glass to which you want to glue the rocks is on the floor.

    • 2

Spread a thin layer of polyurethane glue on the glass.

    • 3

Press aquarium-safe rocks to the polyurethane. You may wish to only place a few rocks on the glass, or you may wish to cover the glass side entirely, filling in the backdrop.

Allow the glue to cure completely. Check the label on the package to see when the glue will be completely cured. Simply because the glue is dried does not mean it is entirely cured, and before curing, there is a chance that the glue can release toxins into the water.
