How do predators move ON their prey?

Pursuit predation: The predator actively chases and pursues its prey until it is caught.

Ambush predation: The predator waits in a hidden location until its prey comes close, then suddenly attacks.

Trap predation: The predator builds a trap or web to catch its prey.

Parasitism: The predator lives off of or within its prey, eventually killing it.

Scavenging: The predator feeds on the remains of an animal that has already been killed.

Kleptoparasitism: The predator steals food from another predator.

Commensalism: The predator benefits from its association with its prey, but the prey is neither harmed nor benefited.

Mutualism: Both the predator and its prey benefit from their association.
