Do Salmon live in the arctic tundra?

Salmon do not typically live in the Arctic tundra, but they can be found in rivers and streams that flow through or near the tundra. Salmon are anadromous fish, meaning that they spend part of their lives in freshwater and part in saltwater. They typically spawn in freshwater, and then migrate to the ocean where they spend most of their adult lives. Some salmon species, such as the Arctic grayling, are able to survive in the cold waters of the Arctic Ocean, but they are not typically found in the tundra itself.
