Things You'll Need
- Tilapias
- Pellets
- Brine shrimp
- Aquarium (at least 40 gallons for the smaller tilapias; at least 70 gallons for the larger tilapias)
Instructions
Acquire tilapia fish, the younger the better. It's better to get young tilapias because they can grow together and form breeding pairs on their own.
Once the breeding pairs have been formed naturally, you can then remove the other fishes. This will give the breeding pair their own space to claim territory and then begin the breeding process.
Make sure the tilapias are well fed. The tilapias need to be in good condition to breed properly an d a good diet of pellets should do the trick.
Watch and wait. You have done your job in setting the stage for the tilapias to breed. Tilapias are very productive breeders, so a single spawning can result in large fry quantities.
