1. Alabama/Tennesee: This Turkey Creek begins at the boundary at the top of Lookout Mountain on Sand Mountain. It begins near Valley Head, Alabama in DeKalb County. Turkey Creek is joined by many branches such as Big Wills Valley as it continues through Alabama for 68 miles along Alabama 35 and Alabama 138, and crosses the county line to enter into Marion County. Eventually Turkey Creek enters the Tennessee River which runs into Pickwick Lake just below Pickwick Dam near Shiloh (Pittsburg Landing)
2. Oklahaoma. Located partly in the Tulsa metropolitan area with headwaters south of Jenks before converging northeast of Bristow in Creek County. Part of this Turkey Creek's journey involves the Turkey Creek Water Treatment Plant before flowing into Deep Fork which continues into the Cimarron River and enters into Keystone Lake then into the Arkansas River and later empties into the Mississippi River
