      Put your Coralife Deep Six hydrometer into the water. Submerge the hydrometer approximately six inches down into the water inside your aquarium.

      Hold it firmly in place until the water reaches up to the "Fill line" level. Carefully remove the hydrometer and place it on a flat surface. It is recommended you lightly tap the hydrometer after removing it from the aquarium to remove air bubbles. This will prevent inaccurate results.

      Read the results on your Coralife Deep Six hydrometer. The meter will tell you the recommended levels. For example, the acceptable gravity level for reef aquariums is between 1.023 and 1.025.

      Rinse the hydrometer with lukewarm water and allow it to thoroughly air dry. If there is crystallization soak the meter in white distilled vinegar for at least 30 minutes, then rinse with water and air dry.
