Aquarium pumps, like the Aquatic Gardens Single Outlet Hi-Tech Pumps, serve many purposes in aquariums. They can run a plethora of different types of aquarium pumps, such as undergravel filters, sponge filters, corner filters and box filters. Instructions

    • 1

Cut two lengths of aquarium tubing. One should be an inch long, and the other should be long enough to reach from the pump to the endpoint in the fish tank.

    • 2

Attach the shorter piece of the tubing to the outlet of the air pump. Then, connect the check valve to the shorter tube. At the other end of the check valve, attach the longer length of tubing.

    • 3

If using an airstone, attach the other end of tubing to the airstone.

    • 4

Run tubing into the aquarium, then attach it to the end device. If necessary, anchor the device with aquarium rocks.

    • 5

Plug the filter in. It will automatically pump air into the device or airstone.
