Instructions

    • 1

Purchase a Fluval filter. Pet stores and some department stores will stock a range of filters, which are suitable for different aquarium setups. Fluval displays the number of litres the filter will effectively clean on the side of its product packaging, which makes choosing a filter easy.

    • 2

Remove the fish from the aquarium and place them in a second aquarium or bucket of water. Ensure that this water is the correct temperature for the fish.

    • 3

Empty all the aquarium decorations out of the tank. Keep the aquarium full of water.

    • 4

Attach the unplugged filter to the side of the tank, where you would like it to be positioned. Ensure that the filter is totally submerged in water.

    • 5

Move the exhaust outlet to point into the water, away from the walls. This outlet can be angled into any position.

    • 6

Plug the power cord into an outlet and wait for the filter to begin filtering the water.

    • 7

Wait for one hour to allow the filter to settle.

    • 8

Add the aquarium decorations and fish back into the aquarium.
