Instructions
Provide enough room in your tank for the brain coral. Simply put, it just needs space. Not an exorbitant amount, but ample.
Clean the tank water on a regular basis. Do not let the water become cloudy or overly dirty.
Provide a sandy layer beneath the coral. This is the environment in which the brain coral thrives in nature. Keep your aquarium as close to the natural habitat as possible.
Feed the coral when the coral is open. This typically happens at night. The coral will eat bits of raw seafood such as scallops or shrimp. Cut these meats relatively small and place on the open coral when it is open. This should be done 2 to 3 times a week, but it can be done twice a month without affecting the coral's health.
Keep your water temperature between 75 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
Check the pH balance of your tank daily. Make sure it is conducive to your coral and fish.
How to Clean Brain Coral
Brain coral is a type of stony coral that is found in tropical climates. It is self-sufficient and contains polyps. Sometimes people who have this kind of coral in their aquariums feed the coral when it is open to provide optimal health. Cleaning this type of coral is simple and easy because the polyps keep the actual coral clean. The only things you must worry about is providing a clean and balanced environment.
