Can 2 pictus catfish live in a five gallons tank?
Pictus catfish (Pimelodus pictus) are not suitable for a 5-gallon tank. They require at least a 20-gallon tank with plenty of hiding places. They are active swimmers and need a lot of space to move around. Additionally, they are a social species and do best in groups of at least 5-6 individuals. A 5-gallon tank would be too small and restrictive for these catfish, and could lead to health issues and stress.
