Step 6: De-Chlorinate the Water
Prepare a fresh batch of conditioned water, ensuring that it is de-chlorinated and at the appropriate temperature for your fish.
Step 7: Refill the Tank
Refill the tank with the treated water. If you are concerned about any residual contamination, you can add a water conditioner that removes heavy metals.
Step 8: Monitor the Water Parameters
Regularly test your water quality over the next few days, paying close attention to ammonia, nitrites, and pH levels. Adjust water parameters as needed.
Step 9: Reintroduce the Fish
Once you have ensured the water quality is stable and safe for your fish, you can reintroduce them to the tank.
