Things You'll Need
- Aquarium
- Thermometer
- Ice cubes
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Aquarium lid
Instructions
Make sure that your aquarium is at the proper temperature. The water inside the aquarium should be 45 to 55 degrees to keep your fish alive.
Drop a couple of ice cubes made from distilled water into the aquarium if the water is too high. This will bring the water temperature down as needed.
Add 2 capfuls of hydrogen peroxide to your aquarium to oxidize the water measuring the amount from the bottle of peroxide. This will give the minnows and the bass more air to breathe through the water.
Keep a lid on the top of the aquarium. Minnows and bass are both known to jump out of the water. If there is not a lid on the aquarium, the fish will jump out and onto the floor.
Change the water in the aquarium about once every two weeks to keep the water fresh. Once you see the water get dirty, you will probably start to see the minnows die off.
