Separate the baby angelfish from the mother three to four days after they've hatched and are able to swim. Feed them baby brine shrimp for new hatchlings ̵1; available at pet and aquarium stores ̵1; three to four times a day. Keep the water temperature warm - around 82 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit.

Feed the angelfish adult brine shrimp from the time they are three to six weeks old and supplement their diet with a teaspoon of fish flakes ̵1; ask your local aquarium retailer for a recommendation ̵1; once a day.

Change at least a quarter of the water in the aquarium once a day. Keep snails in the tank as bottom feeders to prevent the accumulation of excess food and excrement.
