When was Salmon Arm created?

Salmon Arm's history began with the arrival of the Shuswap people in the area about 1,000 years ago. However, the first European settlement in the area was established in 1869 by Hudson's Bay Company fur traders. The town was officially incorporated as a village in 1904 and as a city in 1912.
