Does hydra captures its food with the help of pseudopodia?

Hydra captures its food with the help of nematocysts, not pseudopodia. Nematocysts are specialized stinging cells that are present on the tentacles of hydra. When a prey comes in contact with the tentacles, the nematocysts discharge a thread that penetrates the prey's body and injects a toxin that paralyzes it. The hydra then uses its tentacles to move the prey to its mouth and ingests it.

Pseudopodia, on the other hand, are temporary extensions of the cell membrane that are used by some organisms for locomotion, capturing food, and other purposes. They are not present in hydra.
