Where does a eel live?

An eel is a kind of fish that can live in both seawater and freshwater. They tend to inhabit rivers, lakes, ponds, estuaries, marshes, and even the deep ocean. Eels prefer environments with moderate temperatures and have the ability to migrate between bodies of water depending on their life stage and environmental conditions. Some species of eel, such as the American eel, even undertake long-distance migrations from freshwater habitats to the ocean for reproduction.
